Free SVG QR Code Generator

Most generators lock vector export behind a paid plan and hand free users a blurry PNG. Here the SVG is free, unwatermarked, and clean enough to drop straight into Illustrator or Figma.

Vector vs raster

Why vector matters for anything printed

A PNG stores a fixed grid of pixels. Enlarge it past its native size and the edges of every module soften, which is exactly the kind of blur that makes a scanner hesitate. An SVG stores the code as mathematical paths, so it is re-rendered sharply at whatever size the printer asks for — a business card and a billboard come from the same file.

Vector files are also editable. You can open the export in Illustrator, Figma, Inkscape or Affinity, recolour individual elements, place it in a layout, or convert it to outlines, without regenerating the code or losing quality at any step.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions About SVG QR Codes

Why should I download a QR code as SVG instead of PNG?

SVG is a vector format, so the code is stored as mathematical shapes rather than pixels. It scales from a business card to a billboard with no blurring or pixelation, and print shops generally prefer it for exactly that reason.

Is SVG export really free here?

Yes, with no signup and no watermark. Most competing generators reserve vector export for paid tiers and give free users only a low-resolution PNG. Every export format on this site is free and unrestricted.

Can I edit an SVG QR code in Illustrator or Figma?

Yes. The exported file is clean, well-formed SVG XML, so it opens directly in Adobe Illustrator, Figma, Inkscape, and Affinity Designer. You can recolour it, place it in a layout, or convert it to outlines without regenerating the code.

What resolution should I use if I need a PNG instead?

For print, choose the 4000px export, which covers roughly 13 inches at 300 DPI. Use 2000px for flyers and posters viewed at arm’s length, and 1000px for on-screen use such as slides, emails, and social posts.

Does the SVG contain my data or a tracking link?

It contains only your data, encoded directly into the QR matrix as vector paths. There is no redirect domain, no tracking parameter, and no third-party server involved, so the file works offline and forever.
